It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Anna Musseau (nee Browner) announces her passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Monday, May 7th, 2018 at the age of 86 years. Born in Dominion, NS. Anna was the daughter of the late Charles and Bertha Browner (nee McNeil). She was also predeceased by her husband Gerald in 2007. Anna was an honorary member of the CN Pensioners Association, a member of the 50 Plus Club and a very avid card player known to many. She was also predeceased by her sisters Julia (John) McCarthy, Josie McNeil; brothers-in-law James, Gordon, Howard (Patricia), Reg (Minnie) Musseau, William “Bud” Klippenstein, Joe McNeil, Ron Doyle; sisters-in-law Annie (Howard) Walters, Mae (Norman) Feltham, and Elizabeth Musseau. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters Irene (Louis) Sparkes of Port Hawkesbury, NS, Julia “Dood” (Albert) Francis of Port aux Basques, NL, Grace (Gary) Stagg of Red Deer, AB; son Gerald Jr (Peggy Jesso) Musseau of St. Andrew's, NL; sisters Veronica Klippenstein of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Blanche McNeil of Glace Bay, NS; brothers Charlie (Katie) Browner, Thomas (Linda) Browner both of Dominion, NS; sisters-in-law Dollie Doyle of St. Andrew's, NL, Hilda Musseau of Berwick, NS, Pearl Musseau of Port aux Basques, NL; grandchildren Gary (Brenda Cogswell) Sparkes of Port Hawkesbury, NS, Sherry (Denny) Bullard of Grand Falls, NL, Tom (Heather Ryan) Sparkes Leduc, AB, Louise Anna (Stephen Timmons) Sparkes of Port Hawkesbury, NS, Jannatta (Dr. Corey) Burton of Moncton, NB, Bradley (Denise) Francis of Grand Prairie, AB, Tammy (Chris) Lind of Innisfail, AB, Shavon (Corby) Parsons of Caroline, AB, Brandi (Jesse) Emberley of Blackfalds, AB, Tristan Blackmore of Blackfalds, AB, Taylen (Mallory Carter) Musseau of Corner Brook, NL; great-grandchildren Dylan, Kelsey, Casey, Monique, Ryan, Gracie, Coady, Ava, Liam, Abbie, Joshua, Jazmine, Jessica, Quinn, Shianna, Xavier, Jeffery, Kobi, Jackson, Lucy, Charlotte. Anna also leaving to mourn her lifetime special friend Dorothy Bragg; special caregivers Chrissy Walters and Tamiara Razack, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. Private family visitation took place Tuesday, May 8th from 2-4 pm. Public visitation was held on Tuesday, May 8th from 7-9 pm and on Wednesday, May 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc in Port aux Basques, NL. The Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, May 10th at 11 am from Wesley United Church in Port aux Basques, NL officiated by Father Terry of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church with interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, TCH, NL. No flowers by request, in lieu of flowers, donations in Anna's memory can be made to the St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church.
