It is with heartfelt appreciation that we, the family of the late Pat Murphy, extend sincere thanks to the family, friends and neighbors who supported us after Pat passed away. We were comforted by your visits, calls, cards and e-mails, and grateful for the food, prayers and the many donations made in Pat’s memory. Thanks to everyone who attended Pat’s funeral and the reception that followed. It means the world to know that so many people cared for Pat and for our family. We will never forget your kindness. Many thanks to Father Errol MacDonald for his comforting words and to the Holy Redeemer Church Choir for the beautiful music. Special thanks also to the honorary pallbearers, Bobby Dunn, Frank Dunn, Ashley Jessome, Roy Jessome, Gordie MacDonald, John Murphy, Abbie Neville and Ellis Neville; to John MacCormick, Lori Murphy and Jeannie Stone for the readings; to Eucharistic Ministers Myrna Dunn, Patsy Kiley and Carmella MacDonald; to Altar Servers Simon Dunn and John Murphy; and to the members of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 128 who attended the funeral. We also extend many thanks to Kay Violande for the lovely lunch she prepared for the funeral reception. Finally, thanks to Bill Laurie and staff at the Pier Community Funeral Home for their help and compassion, which made a difficult time easier to bear.
