It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that our family announces the sudden but peaceful passing of Geraldine Kavanagh, of Ferryland, at her home on Monday, May 7, 2018. Born April 25, 1953 in Bay Bulls, she was the daughter of Leo and Hilda Puddister and is also predeceased by her sister Joan Yard and brothers Doug Puddister, Gordon Puddister and Robert Puddister. She is survived by her husband of 41 years Adrian Kavanagh; two sons Mark Kavanagh of Torbay, and Patrick Kavanagh of Iqaluit and two grandchildren Andrew Kavanagh and Brady Kavanagh. Also surviving are her brother, Leo Puddester (Bernie); sister Judy Goodyear; her long-term friend Regina White and Kelly Hickey (Daughter-In-Law). Geraldine's great pleasures were being surrounded by her family and friends to share a moment, meal, activity, or event and supporting and promoting her community in every way possible through her active involvement on an expansive list of community organizations and committees. Visitation will take place at Fahey's Funeral Home in Fermuse on Thursday, May 10th from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday, May 11th from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral service to take place at Holy Trinity Church in Ferryland on Saturday, May 12th at 11:00am.
