ALEX BANCESCU of Assiniboia, SK., passed away on August 20, 2009 in the Assiniboia Union Hospital Long Term Care Facility, Assiniboia, SK. at the age of 85. Predeceased by his wife Luella; brothers: John, Gus, George, William, Nick, Mike, Steve and Lee; sisters, Jean and Clara. Alex is survived by his brother Jim (Karen) Bancescu of Assiniboia, SK. as well as numerous nieces and nephews. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in Ross Funeral Chapel, Assiniboia, SK. Father Walter Smith, of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, Moose Jaw, SK. officiating. Interment to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Assiniboia, SK. Memorial donations in memory of Alex can be made to the Assiniboia Union Hospital Long Term Care Facility.
