RICHARD, PAULINE - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pauline Richard, 57, of Moncton, on Friday, May 20, 2011 at The Moncton Hospital and with her husband who cared for her faithfully at her side following a courageous battle with cancer. Born September 30, 1953 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Yvon and Lorraine (Mills) LeBlanc. Pauline was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She attended Ste-Thérèse R.C. Church in Dieppe and Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church (Parkton) in Moncton. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and watching game shows on TV. Former cake decorator at the Village Supermarket for 15 years. She was currently employed part-time at the Queen Elizabeth School cafeteria. Besides Albert, her beloved husband of 40 years, she is also survived by two daughters: Rachel Chevarie (Patrick) and Gisèle Daigle; six grandchildren whom were the light of her life: Jessica, Samantha, Christina, and Jonathan Chevarie; Sébastien and Anique Daigle; many friends who have admired her courage, loyalty and integrity, especially her lifelong best friend and maid of honour, Muriel Brun; four sisters: Jeannine LeBlanc (Victor), Claudette Saulnier, Rita Weston (Elvin) and Christine Allain (Chris); four brothers: Terry (Jan), Roland (Lorette), David (Muriel) and Omer (Jackie) LeBlanc; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until departure (10:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton, Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Pauline, a contribution to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital (Oncology) would be appreciated. Pauline’s family would also like to thank the staff and caregivers of the Oncology and especially the 6th floor of The Moncton Hospital for the wonderful care Pauline received. www.frenettefuneralhome.com
