MILLS, RITA H. - 1921-2011 - Miramichi - Rita Hannah Mills, widow of the late Bertram S. Mills, of the South Napan Road, Napan, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Friday evening, May 20, 2011, at the age of 90. Born in Pineville, on April 16, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Allan and Margaret (Hughes) Buggie. She was a homemaker and attended St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi. She was a former employee of the Marvin Biscuit Co., in Moncton. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Grant (Francis) and Anne King (Wayne), of Napan; four sons, Robert Mills (Noreen), of Schooner Point, Ernest Mills (Brenda), of Strathadam, William Mills (Gloria), of Napan, Van Mills, of Glenwood; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Bert, in 2008; one son James Mills. She was the last surviving member of her family of twelve siblings.
Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Monday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at 11 am, conducted by Father Claude Daigle. Interment will be in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Andrews Cemetery Fund, the Extra Mural Nursing Program, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
