Helen (Embree) Ferguson & Betty (Embree) Weeks
Mom (Helen) died in December 2017 at Harbourstone in Sydney at the age of 85. She was buried in Hardwood Hill Cemetery on April 21, 2018 with the immediate family in attendance.
Her sister, Betty Weeks, died suddenly a few weeks later at the age of 94. Betty (Auntie Bet) was buried on June 16th, also in Hardwood Hill, followed by a lovely tea at her church, the United Heritage Church in Sydney.
Sadly, for Mom (Helen), her long illness with dementia changed her life, and she was no longer able to enjoy time with family and friends as she once did. But Betty (Auntie Bet) was fortunate to be able to live a good life right up to the end.
On behalf of our families I would like to say thank you to all the family, friends, care givers and work colleagues who shared their love, friendship, time and acts of kindness with Helen and Betty over many years. Thank you also for your cards, kind words, and offers of help to us.
