SHEPHERD
WILLIAM (BILL) MITCHELL SHEPHERD JR. of Moose Jaw, passed away peacefully August 22, 2009, at the age of 69 years. Bill was born October 15, 1939 in Kelvington, Saskatchewan and later moved to Moose Jaw with the family. He worked with Prairie South School Division until his retirement in 1998. Bill was a long time member of the Anavets, enjoyed playing darts, golf, and watching the Blue Jays and Maple Leafs. He was predeceased by parents Bill Sr. and Blanche; three brothers: Marshall, Don and Jim. Bill will be lovingly remembered by wife Carol, brother Colin; children: Terry (Fran) and Karen (Jerry); special grandchildren: Kasi and Jesse, along with Catlin, Savannah and Allan. He will also be missed by special friends Wayne and Bettye Day, Alex and Jenny Patterson and by his cats Socks and Shadow, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bill will be missed dearly by his entire family. Following a family graveside service at Sunset Cemetery, they invite you to join them for a memorial tea in memory of Bill on Friday, August 28, 2009 from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the W. J. Jones & Son Family Centre, 262 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658, S6H 7K7.
