John Michael Lawrence 'Larry' Mac Neil

A Mass will be held for John Michael Lawrence (Larry) Mac Neil, 82 who passed October 4, 2017. Born August 9, 1935 in Grand Narrows, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Captain Angus and Mary Jane (Mac Neil) Mac Neil.
Larry is predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Elizabeth (Fraser) MacNeil and survived by five children, John Lawrence Jr., Gerald Thompson, Mary Melinda, Patrick Stewart (Malia Boardman), and Ronald Gregory. John had seven grandchildren, Christina Marie (Graham Ransom), Laura Ashley (Curtis Wall), Julia Breanne, Shannon Mary, Heather Michelle, Margaret Ann, Michael Patrick Steven MacNeil; along with five great-grandchildren, Alison Natassia and Jake Aiden Ransom, Connor William, Cassidy Nancy MacNeil and Payton Jane Wall. He is survived by his brother, J. Walter (Florence) MacNeil and sisters, Patsy (Leonard) Chisholm and Francis (Rod) Campbell.
A memorial Mass will be held at the St. Columba Church, Iona, NS on August 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Barra’s Cemetery, Christmas Island, NS. Reception after Internment will be held at the Christmas Island Fire Hall.
