DARWIN BROWN

Passed on: May 18th, 2011

Darwin Brown passed away on May 18, 2011 with his wife Angie at his side. He is survived by his wife Angie; sons Devin, Ryan and Robert Keith (Bobby); parents Bob and Kathy Brown; sister Nona (Brian) and brother Currie (Carolyn). Darwin was born in Moose Jaw and spent most of his life here except for a brief period of time in Lethbridge, Alberta. Growing up, Darwin loved playing hockey, often skipping out on trumpet lessons to sneak down to the rink with his friends. Darwin had his favorite hobbies for every season. In the summer and fall he loved camping, the outdoors, scuba diving in his youth and golfing, enjoying his final golf tournament last weekend. Darwin enjoyed his time spent at archery, scouting and hunting with Bobby. In the winter Darwin loved watching his boys curl, play foosball and shoot pool. He played in the CPR annual hockey tournaments, and received recognition for his contributions in planning the 25th Annual Tournament held in Moose Jaw. Darwin’s top priority was spending time with his family. He also enjoyed coffee time with his pals. He was always planning his next great trip to Mexico with Angie. Darwin worked as electrician for the Canadian Pacific Rail since 18 years of age. He had a great gift for story telling and was very easy to like. It seems everywhere he went he would find someone to talk to even in another country. He could be joking with you one minute and talking philosophically the next, the most optimistic and happy go lucky person you have ever met. Darwin will be remembered fondly always by his family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at Minto United Church Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 1:30 pm. Della Ferguson will be the Celebrant. Interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery.
