We, the family of Shirley Eileen Penney who died June 19, 2018, wish to thank all those who phoned, visited, brought food, sent sympathy and Mass cards, made memorial donations and attended the wake and funeral. Thanks to the choir, the CWL for their prayer service, honour guard and for the luncheon served following the Funeral Mass. We wish to express our appreciation to Fathers Bill Burke, Bedford Doucette, Everett MacDow and Deacon Francis Pham for their pastoral care. We are especially thankful to our cousin, Ken Hutchins for his moving guitar rendition of ‘Hector the Hero’ during the service.
The family are grateful to Shirley’s physicians, Dr. Glen Worth and Dr. Gordon Yeung for their compassionate care. Thanks to the emergency staff, ICU of the Regional Hospital, staff of T.W. curry Parkview Chapel and the homecare workers of City Homemakers who allowed Shirley to be able to live in familiar surroundings. We as a family are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity extended to us by family, friends, and the parish community of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys.
