BUTLER, EMMERSON J. - 1936-2011 - Emmerson J. Butler, 74, of Harcourt, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday, May 22, 2011. Born in Kent Junction, he was the son of the late Lemeul and Liza (Beers) Butler. Emmerson retired as an equipment operator for the NB Department of Transportation in 2001. He enjoyed making broken things work, working in the woods, hunting, fishing, four wheeling and cutting wood. His greatest enjoyment was getting together with family and spending time with his grandchildren. Emmerson will be sadly missed by his wife of 54 years, Shirley (Robinson) Butler; daughter, Colleen Boucher (Tony); son, Tim (Stacey); grandchildren, Norman, Nick, Chrissy, Brad and Alex; great grandchildren, Austin and Paige; sisters, Harriet MacDonald (Wally), Mary Stewart (late Harold); brothers, Murdock (Betty), Kirby (Mary Lou), Richard, Delmar (Terry) and Stephen (Judy); several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Clinton.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Wednesday 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service to be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 11:00am with Rev. Cecil Symes officiating. Reception following the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment, St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kent Junction.
