Our much loved Ann Skinner passed away peacefully, May 20, 2011, after a short battle with cancer.
She was born in Glace Bay, N.S., to the late Neil and Irene (Briand) Johnson.
Ann loved Glace Bay but soon after finishing high school, she met her husband of 50 years Michael. Ann along with her husband travelled and lived in many parts of Canada and Europe. Ann was a loving, kind and generous person. Her favourite saying was “Did you eat?” She was loved by all. Her husband, children and grandchildren meant the world to her.
Surviving are her husband Michael of 50 years; her daughter, Sandra (Rob) Dufour, Comox, B.C.; son, Michael David (Zana) Skinner, Melfort, Sask. Ann had three grandchildren whom she loved deeply, Danielle, Stephanie and Evan. Also surviving are two sisters, Ruth (Ernest) McCallum and Alice (Don) Gardiner; two brothers, Roy (Chris) Johnson and Gordon (Dale) Johnson.
We will miss you Ann. Love and great memories remain in our hearts.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Curry’s Funeral Home in Glace Bay. Family and close friends will meet at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens tomorrow (Tuesday) at 2 p.m. for a celebration of life and committal service.
