We are heart broken to announce the passing of our sister Joanna M. (Pyke) Power at home on Saturday, May 21, 2011.
Joanna was the daughter of the late James and Audrey Pyke.
Joanna is survived by brother, David (Monica) Mira; sister, Nancy Mitchell (Scott Macklem), Peterborough, Ont.; sister-in-law, Karen Pyke Glace Bay; brother-in-law, Pat (Brenda) Power, Sydney; nieces, Kelly Pyke, St. Catharines, Ont., Krystal (Matt) Martell, Greenwood, N.S., Sarah (Will) Mitchell, Toronto, Ont., Donna Power, Sydney; nephews, Jamie (Kim) Pyke, Antigonish, N.S., Jeff Pyke, Glace Bay.
Joanna was predeceased by her husband, Joe, daughter, Audrey-Marie and brother, Jim.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 24 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 25 at Patten Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Murdock officiating and interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Bayplex.
