Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, May 20, 2011, of Mary Redmond (nee Naddy) of Corrigan's Lodge and formerly of Lake Verde, aged 86 years. Beloved wife of the late Ivan Redmond and loving mother of Harold (Pauline), Jerry (Rita), Marlene Doyle (Harold Trainor), Margaret Brazel (Eddie), Mary-Beth McGuirk (Joseph) and Raymond Hicks (Elaine). Mary is also survived by 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sisters Betty Callaghan, Lilian Ruppel, Fran England, Celine Travers and Fostina Haight. She was predeceased by her son Frank, infant daughter Marion; parents John and Marion Naddy; sisters Fostina and Josephine and brother Clifford Naddy. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation on Tuesday, May 24, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 25, at St. Joachim's Church, Vernon River at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. CWL will hold a prayer service at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 24 at 6:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Joachim's New Parish Hall would be appreciated.
