We, the family of the late Dal MacDonald, would like to express our sincere thanks to our relatives, friends, and neighbors for their support during the recent loss of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Thank you to all who offered condolences, traveled to be with us, sent memorial donations, visited, phoned, emailed, sent mass cards, sympathy cards and brought food to our home. Our sincere gratitude to Father Jake Andrea for taking the time to visit and support our family and for his touching service. Thanks to the choir and organist of St. Stephen's Church in Florence and to the Florence Legion for the lovely lunch. To my sisters, Marilyn and Heather, for singing the hymn, Each Step I Take, it was such a comfort to us. To our friend, Mike White, for his heartfelt eulogy. To Dal's sister-in-law, Marie, cousins, Joe MacDougall, Sherry Timmons and Rodina Whitman for their readings during the funeral, we thank you. Thank you to Dr. Bill MacDonald for his care and compassion over the years. To the VON and the palliative care team for their home support. To Dr. Gillis, Dr. Burns and the nursing staff of the An Cala Palliative Care Unit for being so supportive to Dal and his family, we thank you. To the Kiwanis Ceilidh Golden "K" for their presence and friendship, Dal would have been so proud. To Norma Blinkhorn and the Board of Directors of the Northside Visiting Homemakers for their support, we thank you. To W.J. Dooley Funeral Home for their compassion and professionalism shown to our family at this difficult time, we thank you. Thank you once again to our many good friends and neighbors for your overwhelming show of support and generosity. You were there for us every step of the way.
