It is with great sadness that we announce the passing, peacefully, at the Prince Edward Home on Thursday, August 16, 2018 of Ian William Oland, age 79 years. Lovingly remembered by his Darling Heather; wonderful children Nancy (Alan Goodwin) and Susan and grandchildren Sam, Cheryl and Michael Goodwin. Ian is also remembered by brothers-in-law Percy Downe (Roslyn) and Paul Mason, by his sister-in-law Marjorie Towes and by nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful caring friends including our two guardian angels Lew Robinson and Fred Foster. Predeceased by his parents John and Gladys (Orr) Oland, sister Lois Mason and brother-in-law Victor Toews. Special thanks for the loving and compassionate care provided to Ian by all the caregivers on Lighthouse Cove at the Prince Edward Home. What you do every day is difficult but so important and appreciated. Thank-you. Thank you also to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Unit 3 for your care and concern. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment in Clifton Cemetery, Stratford.
