Born in Bonne Bay, NL on April 5, 1928, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2009 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Mary Lee (nee Stratton) of Walkerton. Dear father of his daughter Colleen Lee of Oakville and his son Christopher (Linda) of Burlington. Dear stepfather to Leanne Senra (Simon) of Walkerton, Brian Zealand (Debbie) of Mississauga and David Zealand (Brenda) of Caledon. Beloved grandfather of Aaron (Michelle), Caileigh and Jessie Bastian, Jordan and Jennifer Lee, Brennan, Tristan and Kieran Senra, Jordan and Justin Zealand. Blessed great-grandfather of Luc George Bourdon-Bastian. Beloved brother of Margaret Johnson (Roger), Jean MacPherson (Donald-deceased), Nora Russell (Len), Dermott (Ann), Clarence (Sue) and Derrick (Shari). Predeceased by brothers William (Ruby), Joseph (Anja), Frank, and Gerald (Marg), and by sisters Molly Reid (Edgar-deceased) and Ethel Tracey (William-deceased). Also predeceased by his first wife Gwendolyn Lee (Gillard-1986) and his parents Dermott and Euphemia (Gallaphone) Lee. George will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at the Cameron Funeral Home, Walkerton (1106 Yonge St., S) on Thursday, August 27, 2009 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. prior to the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton, Fr. David Weise officiating. Interment to be held Friday, August 28, 2009 at 11:00 at the Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery, Oakville.
