It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leonard Ricketts announce his sudden passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Tuesday, August 25th, 2009, in his 91st year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: his grandson, Christopher (Carrie) Ricketts; his great-grandchild, Cole; granddaughter, Fiona (Gordon Broderick); daughter-in-law, Lillian Ricketts; brothers: Jacob, Julian, and Job; his niece, June (Bill Wells); stepsister, Isabella Cassell. Leonard was predeceased by his wife, Jessie (nee Elgar) and his son, Ralph Ricketts. Also leaves to mourn a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family, friends and his extended family. The family will be receiving family and friends from St. Bartholomew Anglican Church in Jackson’s Arm, today, Thursday, August 27th, 2009, from the hours of 7-9 p.m., from where the funeral service will take place on Friday, August 28th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Jason Haggstrom officiating. Burial to follow at the church cemetery in Jackson’s Arm.
