The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her family at Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, of Amy M. Farrell (nee McInnis) of Summerside and formerly of Central Lot 16, P.E.I., aged 89 years. Amy was born on Jan. 17, 1920, in Greenmount, P.E.I., to her late parents Wilbert and Mae (nee MacAlduff) McInnis. Beloved wife of Leo T. Farrell and loving mother of Irene (Rick) Gaudet of Comox, B.C., Linda (Blair) Arsenault of Summerside, David (Bonnie) of Central Lot 16, Anne ( Frank ) Farrell Gaudet of Summerside and Victor of Calgary, Alta. Also lovingly remembered by her 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her brothers, Cedric (Eileen) McInnis of Toronto, Ont., and Ronald (Marg) McInnis of Hunsville, Ont. and her sister-in-law, Irene (Michael) Kozarevich of Miscouche, P.E.I. Besides her parents, Amy was predeceased by her brothers, Jack, Cyril, Earl, Mark and Colin McInnis. Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday, Aug. 28, then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Amy’s memory to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Miscouche CWL will hold prayers at the funeral home at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.
