James 'Jimmy' Gregory Wareham

It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Jimmy (James) Gregory Wareham, 37, of New Waterford, on May 23, 2011 at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of Greg and Agnes ‘Polly’ (Murrant) Wareham, New Waterford.
Jimmy was a member of the former St. Agnes Church and currently the Parish Church of St. Leonard. He was a licenced electrician and enjoyed working at various jobs throughout Nova Scotia and Ontario. Jimmy also loved to make model cars, play guitar and go fishing with close friends.
Surviving are parents, Greg and Agnes ‘Polly’ Wareham; sister, Angela Wareham (Charles Peddle), Bridgewater, N.S.; several aunts and uncles; his Chinese pug, Ozzy.
Jimmy was predeceased by his daughter, Nicole Domenique ‘Nikki’ Wareham, maternal grandparents, Murray and Ethel Murrant, paternal grandparents, Daniel and Vange Wareham, two uncles, John Murrant and Kevin Wareham.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. A funeral mass of celebration for Jimmy will take place Friday, May 27 at 10 a.m. in the Parish Church of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Avenue, with Fr. Doug MacDonald officiating. Cremation will follow. A luncheon will be held at St. Leonard’s Parish Hall on Convent Street immediately after the funeral mass.
