Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, August 25, 2009, Thomas Joseph Fleming of Torbay, retired employee of Standard Manufacturing Company, age 84 years. Predeceased by his wife Margaret, brothers Peter, Patrick, Michael and Jack and infant brother Dennis, sisters Mary, Ann, Kitty and Lizzie. Leaving to mourn two daughters: Kathleen Newell and son-in-law Fred and Maureen Jenkins and son-in-law Bob; seven grandchildren; Mark (Alison), Allison (Stephen), Karla, Ashley, Matthew, Alastair, Claire; one extra special great-grandchild Nicholas; one sister Alice Field; one sister-in-law Agnes Houlihan; one brother-in-law Kevin Houlihan; special friend Winnie Gosse; also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially his Tuesday night card buddies. Always remembered for his love of traditional music and dance, farming and his horses. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay. Visitation Wednesday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m Funeral Mass on Friday, August 28th at 10 a.m. from Holy Trinity Church, Torbay. Interment to follow at the R.C.
