January 25, 1927 - May 23, 2011. Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the L.A. Miller Centre, P.C.U., after a brief battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents Anne and Edward Stagg; four sisters; one brother and special great-granddaughter Jasmyn. Leaving to mourn his loving wife and best friend Faith (nee Spurrell); son Edward (Donna); daughters: Anne Jerrett (Edward), Libby Andrews (Fred), Beverly Powell (Rod) and their mother Pearl Stagg; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one special sister Rhymie Humphries; one brother Gilbert and numerous other relatives and friends; as well as his friends at Maplewood Apts. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m., on Wednesday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral service 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2011, from the Salvation Army Citadel, Adams Avenue. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. No flowers by request.
