WESTVILLE - Phyllis "Nadine" (MacMillan) Fleury, age 59, of Westville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 27, 2009, in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Robert Ashley and Catherine Joyce (Fraser) MacMillan.
She was a kind and loving person who was always concerned with others. Her family was always most important to her.
Nadine worked at the Braeside Inn and later worked as a baker at Tim Horton’s for several years.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 39 years, Chester "Chet" Fleury, who always called her "Stella Mae"; daughters, Dorie, New Glasgow; Sherri, New Glasgow; sister and best friend, Brenda Johnson (Wayne), MacLellan’s Mtn.; also sisters, Janis DeCoff, Stellarton; and Elizabeth "Beth" MacDonald (David), MacLellan’s Mtn.; brothers, John MacMillan (Janice), New Glasgow; and Alexander MacMillan (Laura), New Glasgow; step-sister, Debbie Kennedy, New Glasgow; step-brother, Gerard Boutilier (Kim), New Glasgow; and mother-in-law, Doris Fleury, New Glasgow.
She was predeceased by a son, Robert in infancy; step-mother, Betty MacPherson MacMillan; and father-in-law, Chester Fleury.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service by her request.
