Parsons, Robert Wayne (Bob) – Nov. 1, 1947 – May 24, 2011. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Parsons (Bob) after a lengthy illness due to complications from diabetes, surrounded by his much loved ones at the Health Sciences Centre. Bob leaves his best friend and the love of his life Jane Barry, Jane’s son Jonathan (Jennifer), guardian angels/siblings, Kathleen Parsons, Twillingate, Agnes Slade (Gordon), Mount Pearl and brother Paul Parsons (Kay), Red Lake, ON, nieces and nephews, Sean, Sonja, Paula, Janet, Phillip, Mallory and their families. He also leaves to mourn Jane’s family (The Pumphrey’s) Gerald, John, Robi, Tom and Steve and their families as well as Bob’s biological mother Ruby Sharpe Kinch and special sister Patty Pieretti, FL. Bob is predeceased by his parents Capt. Frank and Gertrude Parsons, sister Jacqueline, Lewisporte, sister Josephine and her husband Peter Tiller, St. John’s. Visitation was held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave on Friday, May 27, 2011 from 2 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service took place from Barrett’s Chapel on Saturday, May 28, 2011 with interment to follow at a later date in Lewisporte, NL. Donations in Bob’s memory can be made to The Gathering Place, 172 Military Rd or to a local food bank. We would like to give special thanks to all the health care providers to Bob over the past 13 years here in St. John’s, especially the Transplant Clinic at the Waterford Hospital.
