With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Glenn at home on May 24, 2011.
Born in New Waterford, he was the son of Jeanette (Pirotte) MacEachern (Willie Pembroke) and the late Harold MacEachern.
Glenn had many jobs, most recently working as a bartender at the Army and Navy and was always ready to lend an ear.
In earlier years he was a member of 35 Sydney Service Battalion and was still an active member of the Army and Navy and New Waterford legion.
He enjoyed fishing and going for long drives, was an animal lover and will be missed by his pal ‘Buddy,’ the cat.
Glenn is survived by his friend and partner, Beverly Kavanaugh; Bev’s son, Robbie, who thought of Glenn as his father; Robbie’s children, Paige and Chloe, who were very special to Glenn and their mother Angela; brothers, Terry (Val), Brian (Karen), Bernie (Sharon), Michael (Janie), Harold (Tara); sisters, Evelyn Joanne (George) and Janet (Parker); Bev’s sister, Linda (Jack) Fowler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his father, he was also predeceased by brother, Bradley.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass to celebrate Glenn’s life will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the Parish of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Avenue, with Fr. Doug MacDonald officiating. Burial will be at Forest Haven with a luncheon to follow at the Army and Navy, Smith Street.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
