Passed suddenly but peacefully away at the Ottawa Civic Hospital in Ontario at 9:45 am Oct. 2, 2018. Predeceased by her husband Gerard M. (Gerry) Power of St. John's and Ottawa and her parents John F. Christopher of St John’s and mother Ita M. Phelan (nee Laurie of St. Thomas Newfoundland) of Florida USA. Leaving to remember her is her only sibling, brother John P. Christopher of Toronto who will remember her fondly, and her daughter Janet Power of Ottawa who was her caregiver during her final years who will sorely miss her. She leaves behind a wide range of cousins and friends in Ottawa, Newfoundland and the USA. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service.
