ARNEIL, Margaret Helen
December 13th, 1928 – May 22nd, 2011
After a brief but valiant battle with kidney failure, Margaret Helen Arneil passed away peacefully at Royal Inland Hospital in the early evening of May 22nd, 2011 in her 83rd year. She is now re-united with her first husband Maurice, her parents, two sisters and one brother, as well as one son-in-law.
Mom is survived by her second husband Robert, four daughters - Anita Bilkey (Norm Romano, Nick and Megan Smith, and Lia Smith); Lynda Martin (Ken Martin, Heather and Joey Boos and Kayson); Christine Bilkey (Shaynne and Tennille Corbett, Aidan and Lydia, and Allison Corbett and Vince Nelson) and Joanne Bilkey (Mikayla and Dylan Easton.) She also leaves Bob’s children - son Brodie Arniel (Lisa Sami, Priaya and Suneeta) and daughter Diane Bruin (Troy Bruin, Brodie Anderson, Jeff and Nicky Bruin and Colby Bruin) plus 6 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be a special angel for the great grandchild that Nick and Megan are expecting in the fall.
Margaret’s family would like to express their deepest appreciation for the wonderful care provided by the staff at RIH, particularly in the ER, on 3 West and in the Renal Dialysis Unit, as well as to Drs. Malan, Michaud and Conley. A special thanks also goes to Dr. Jim Mabee for the many years he was Margaret’s family physician.
A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held on Friday June 3rd at 2 pm at the Summit Drive Church, 1975 Summit Drive, Kamloops BC. Internment of cremains will take place in Saskatchewan at a later date.
