THURROTT, CALVIN - The death of Mr. Calvin Cameron Thurrott, of Newcastle, NB, and formerly of Minto, NB whose death occurred at the Miramichi Hospital on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the age of 76. Calvin was the husband of Mary Lou (Sparks) Thurrott of Newcastle, NB and formerly of Saint John, NB. Born in Minto, NB, he was the son of the late Malcolm and Hilda (Gribble) Thurrott. Calvin served in the Canadian Air Force for 33 years. Besides his wife, Mary Lou, he is survived by: one daughter: Elizabeth Carrol (Gary) of Cold Lake, AB; three sons: Christopher (Hilary) of Ottawa, ON; Paul (Maureen) of Cold Lake, AB and John of Halifax, NS; one sister: Emily Gamble of Almonte, ON; four half-brothers: Frank, Aubrey, Roger and Reggie Thompson all of Ontario; four grandchildren: Kathleen, Cassie, Robin and Michael and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Calvin is predeceased by his brother Frederick.
