Sandra Moores (Corcoran)

Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Monday, May 23 ,2011. Leaving with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her mother, Sophie Corcoran (Bill) husband, Paul Lee (daughter: Melissa) and her children Karen (Stephen) and Carson. Sandra also leaves to mourn her beloved sisters and her brother: Deborah (Robert), Brenda (Mike), Michelle (Chuckie), Steve and their families. Sandra had two wonderful nieces, Heather and Candice, as well as two nephews, Dean and Tyler. Sandra will also be forever remembered by the extended Lee, Corcoran and Moores families including a wonderful friend and her children’s grandfather, Jim Moores, and a very special lady and mother-in-law, Mrs. Stella Lee. Remembering Sandra fondly are a warm and loving circle of neighbors, colleagues and friends. A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff at 5NA and Anne Morrison, Reiki Master. Sandra was pre-deceased by her father, Leonard Corcoran, her grandparents and Mary Moores. In celebration of her love of birds and nature, we ask everyone to remember her by filling their bird feeder or enjoying a few minutes in nature with their family and friends. Our mother, partner, sister, daughter and friend enjoyed and loved the outside, fall, winter, hiking, snowshoeing and watching animals in nature. She was a highly experienced practitioner of Aikido, loved jogging and exercised daily. Her annual Christmas Day jog through Bowring Park was a family tradition for many years. We will remember her incredible spirit and her love of life. Visitation at Barrett’s Funeral Home on Hamilton Ave., Thursday, May 26, 3:00 to 9:00 and Friday, May 27, 10:00 to 9:00. Service to follow at St. Joseph's Church, Petty Harbour on Saturday, May 28 at 10:00. Flowers are warmly welcomed, or a donation to a charity of one’s choice.
