Malcolm Higgins
Higgins, Malcolm Roy, 93, Bible Hill, passed away Friday, May 27, 2011, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in East New Annan, he was a son of the late David and Eunice (Heighen) Higgins. Malcolm was a veteran of the Second World War and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26, Truro. He was a truck driver having driven for Eastern Transport for several years.
He is survived by his wife the former Evangeline Delaney; sons Gary, Bible Hill, Roger, Alberta, Eugene (Kathy), Dartmouth; daughters, Rosalie Slack (Stan), Lantz, Inez Wall (Alvin), Tatamagouche, Maxine Cook (Alan), Lyon’s Brook, Mary Kennal, Burnaby, BC; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a sister Isabel Campbell; great-granddaughter Norah Slack.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Sunday and from where the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26, Truro will conduct a Legion Tribute Service at 7 pm Sunday and from where funeral service will take place on Monday at 10 am all in the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro with Rev.
