Lillian Devine

DEVINE, Lillian Janette – 87, Woods Harbour, passed away November 12, 2018, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born September 17, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Noble and Eunice (Nickerson) Nickerson. Lillian was a caring mother and grandmother; she loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren so very much. She enjoyed spending her time reading and crocheting. She was an extremely skilled baker and her baked goods will be missed. She is survived by her children, Gilbert Nason (Karen) Devine, Charlotte (Gordon) Amiro, Mary Ellen (Courtney) Ross; son-in-law, David Surette; siblings, Patsy (George) Cunningham, Brenda (Paul) Donaldson, Harold Lloyd (Phyllis) Leblanc, Wayne David (Elaine) Leblanc; grandchildren, Janet Lynn (Hans), Tina (Quincy), Shawna (Devin), Audrey (Shannon), Justin (Peter), Kempton, Miranda (David), Nason; and 13 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, James Devine; daughter, Annis; siblings, Virginia, Louis, Leroy, Randall, Terry, Hermie, Russell, and Johnny. There was a visitation Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. A memorial service was held on Friday, November 16, 2 p.m. at the Woods Harbour Wesleyan Church with Richard MacAdams officiating. Interment followed in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial donations in her name may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.
