HILTON, Kathleen Marguerite “Kay”, 91, of Lockeport, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 19, 2011 in Roseway Hospital, Sandy Point. Born in West Green Harbour, Shelburne County, on January 23, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Penina (Thorburn) Williams. In her younger years she worked at Simpsons and was manager of a Dairy Queen on Main Street in Dartmouth. She was a favourite aunt to her numerous nieces and nephews and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed a good game of cribbage. Kay is survived by her husband, Russell Hilton, Yarmouth; brother, Rupert (Betty) Williams, Lockeport; sisters, Dot Langille, Lockeport and Mona (Frank) Willis, Dartmouth; step-daughter, Christine Newman (Dudley), Yarmouth. She was predeceased by sisters, Verlie Hilton and Eleanor Lloyd; brothers, Laurie, Arnold, Keith and Stan. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Lockeport. A memorial service was held on Monday, May 23 in Holy Cross Anglican Church, Lockeport with Rev. Norma Mitchell officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Roseway Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society.
