Jessie Margaret Lenore Downe
The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her daughters at the Beach Grove Home on Monday, November 12, 2018 of Jessie Margaret Lenore Downe (nee. Stewart) of Charlottetown, aged 89 years. Jessie was the last surviving member of her family. She was predeceased by her husband Russell, her parents Elizabeth Blackett and Daniel Martin Stewart; Siblings Maria Mae (Bill Linden), Isabelle Frances, George Daniel, Harry Lyndon, Alfred Vernon (Alice Crawley), Annie Catherine (Forhan Bears), Jeannie Elizabeth (Charles Farmer). Loving Mother of Paula Downe-Willis (Barrie, deceased), Valerie Downe, and Roma Downe-MacQuarrie (Blair). Proud Grandmother of Brian Willis (Jennifer), Andrew Willis (Delphine), Matthew Willis (Myfanwy), Peter Willis (Laura), Tim Willis (Chole), Beth Johnston, Blake Johnston, Michael MacQuarrie (Trish), and Ellen MacQuarrie-Hillier (Ian). Adoring Great Grandmother of Lisa Murphy-Reeves; Sacha Luttermann; Manon Willis; Gabriel Willis; Colston and Samuel Marshall-Willis; Simon and Finley Willis; Benjamin, Tom, and Max Willis; Jordan, Haley, Daniel and Charles Ross; Mabel and Russell Johnston; Leni (deceased), Lachlan, Patrick and Elliot Jesse Hillier; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held in the Trinity United Church Sanctuary on Sunday, November 18th at 1:30 pm with funeral to follow at 3 pm. Interment in Clifton United Church Cemetery following the service.
