It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carl George Ostridge. Born Dec 3rd, 1954, he passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on Nov 19th. Carl is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sylvia (Macneill); children Jason (Jamie Ambrose), Hayley (Aaron Hopps), a beautiful granddaughter Charlotte. Carl was the fourth youngest child of the late Jack Ostridge and Ida (Handrahan) Ostridge. He is survived by his 11 brothers and sisters Brendon (Georgie), Margaret Dunphy (Bert) deceased, Charles (Debbie), Melvin (Ellen), Louis (Betty), Theresa Valadka, Elaine Murphy (Wayne), Lawrence (Dianne), Anne MacLeod (Jimmy), Brady (Valerie) and David (Danita) and numerous nieces and nephews. Carl’s unwavering loyalty towards family and friends alike was unsurpassed. His quick wit and wonderful sense of humor will be truly missed. A passion for the outdoors made him an avid hunter and fisherman and coincided with his love of dogs. Visitation will be held at the Atlantic Funeral Home in Lower Sackville on Thursday, November 22nd, from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral mass will be held at St. Rose of Lima, Fall River, Nova Scotia on Friday, November 23rd at 11am.
