Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit, Dr. L. A. Miller Center on Thursday, August 27, 2009, Gordon Wilson Higdon, aged 66 years. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Augusta Higdon and brother Fred Higdon. Leaving to mourn their sad loss are wife Gloria (nee Lane), son Paul; brothers: Seaward (Mary), Robert (Cecile); sisters: Mona Harding (Leonard), Sheila Mullett (Irvine); sister-in-law Claire Higdon; friends: Len Holwell, Bren Corcoran and Martin Dalton, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Saturday, August 29th from 2-4 and 7-10 and Sunday, August 30th from 2-4. Cremation will take place after visitation. Funeral service will be held from Wesley United Church on Monday, August 31st at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
