Isabel Amanda  Bonnyman

(Aug. 25, 1916 – Nov. 27, 2018)
Tatamagouche. It is with great sadness that the family announce her passing on November 27 in Willow Lodge Home for Special Care, Tatamagouche, N.S. She is survived by her son, Bill and daughter-in-law, Linda, Charlottetown, PEI; daughter-in-law, Peggy Weatherby-Bonnyman, Tatamagouche; grandchildren, James, Denise, Sherry and Stephanie; great grandchildren, Connor, Phoebe and Jillian; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, William and Helen Creaser, she was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Willis, and her faithful son, John; also, brothers, Raymond and Ross; sisters, Lena, Louise, Jean, Erna and Doris. Born in Riverport, Lunenburg Co., N.S., she graduated from Mount St. Vincent College in 1936 and taught in various schools in southern Nova Scotia before moving to Tatamagouche in 1945 where she met Willis and married in 1947. After raising her two boys, she returned to teaching in 1960 at North Colchester High School, retiring in 1977. Isabel enjoyed traveling with Willis throughout their lives together, knitting, crocheting, reading, baking for her family and faithfully doing the Chronicle-Herald Lexicon, winning twice. A longtime member of Sharon United Church, Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital and Willow Lodge Auxiliaries. She moved to Willow Lodge with her husband in November 2010 where she kept up with her hobbies and even picked up a few more. She loved her many visits from family, friends and her students. Arrangements have been entrusted to Coulter’s Funeral Home, P.O. Box 190, Tatamagouche, N.S. B0K 1V0. A family and friends service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to Sharon United Church, P.O. Box 91, Tatamagouche, N.S. B0K 1V0 or Tatamagouche Fire Department P.O. Box 165, Tatamagouche, N.S. B0K 1V0 would be appreciated.
