ALMA - Joyce Marie Weeks, 72, Alma, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011 in the Aberdeen Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Fraser and Minnie (Baigent) Urquhart.

Surviving are her Husband of 54 years, Frederick Francis ‘Fred”; daughters, Darlene (Ronald) Lajeunesse, P.E.I.; Catherine (Grayden) Porter, Dartmouth; sons, David (Bernadette), New Glasgow; Leslie (Brenda), N.B.; Donald, Prince Edward Island; Steven, Dartmouth; sisters, Mabel, Evelyn and Shirley; brother, Gary; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Donald.

The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. A private graveside service will be held in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Sylvester with Rev. Aiden Kingsbury officiating.
