It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Stanley Ernest Devoe, 74 of Florence at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late Ernest and Matilda (White) Devoe.
Born in Alder Point, Stanley was a member of Trinity Anglican Church.
Stanley was a fisherman working on fishing Dragger in Petit-de-Grat and fishing in Alder Point.
Surviving are wife Eva (Ball) Devoe; daughters, Brenda (Brian) Taylor, Sydney Mines, Lori Ann (Peter) Jessome, Sydney Mines, Nicole (Brian) Hardy, Glace Bay; sons, George (Maxine), Alder Point, Derek at home, Lawrence (Tina), Manitoba, Kevin (Anne), Manitoba; one brother Melvin (Christine), Kentville; grandchildren Karen, Abigail, John, Evan and Peter.
Predeceased by daughter Nancy Ann; brothers, Albert, Earl; sisters, Helen, Bernette and Pearl.
Burial in Trinity Anglican Cemetery with Rev. Peter Rafufe Officiating.
