It is with great and profound sadness that we the family, regret to announce the passing of Russell De Marco, Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009.
Born in Sydney Mines, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Mary (Yaffolo) De Marco.
Russie enjoyed visiting his many friends, Tim Hortons coffee, bingo and shopping.
Russie is survived by his loving daughters, Carmen (Claude) Beauregard, Chantel (Sylvain) Lemieux; two beautiful granddaughters, Nancy (J.F.) Plante, Amilie; his special love great-granddaughter, Noemie. Also brother, Carman (Ethel Mae) De Marco; three sisters, Rose Clarke, Cecelia (Jockemeck), Nora ‘Nannie’; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Tony and two sisters, Mary and Lena (Kokocki) predeceased Russie.
A celebration of Russie’s life will take place 10 a.m. with a reception to follow Tuesday, Sept. 1 at the S.W. Chant Funeral Home, 562 Alexandra St., Sydney, with Pastor Sheldon Chant officiating. Interment will be at a later date.
