William Joseph 'Billy' Tyne

It is with great sadness that we, the family of William Joseph "Billy" Tyne, announce his sudden passing at his home in Port Hardy, BC on November 29, 2018 at the age of 66.
Billy was a welder by trade having graduated from the Vocational School in Sydney. He worked at Sydney Steel, Hawker Sidley in Trenton and eventually moved to Vancouver Island where he worked for MacMillan Bloedell.
In his younger years in Glace Bay he played hockey and broomball. Billy was the son of the late Mary Columba (MacNeil) Tyne and Kenneth Gregory Tyne. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Paddy Tyne and a special nephew, B.J. Higgins.
Billy is survived by his sons, Josh of Vancouver and Blair of Ucluelet, B.C.; life partner, Karen McGuire; sisters, Betty (John) Boone, ON, Lynn (Eddie) Higgins, and Annette (Robert) Porter, Glace Bay; and brothers, Greg (Linda) Tyne, ON, Mike (Patsy) Tyne, B.C, Gerry (Blanche) Tyne and Bernie Tyne of Glace Bay.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place.
