MAGEE-SAVOIE, REGINA - Regina Magee-Savoie, widow of the late Claude Savoie (1990), passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2011, at the age of 95, at the Villa Providence, Shediac. She was the daughter of the late François (Frank) Magee and the late Lucie Léger. Born in Moncton, she also lived in Tracadie and Fredericton. Regina is survived by her children : Claudette (Earl Mogilevsky), Fredericton, Paul (Marguerite Haché), Beresford, Raymond (Ella Basque), Fredericton, Francine, Moncton, Eric, Longueuil, QC, Bernard (Connie Melanson) and Rachelle (Sylvie LeBlanc), Moncton, Claude (Cathy O’Keefe), Quispamsis; 33 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Bernadette, Jeannine, Georgette, Edith and Claudette. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter Lucille (2004), a son Donald (2007), her brothers and sisters: Alfred, Paul, Frank, Eric, Albert, Joseph, Arthur (infant), Marguerite and Marie and a great grandchild, Caelan. She was the last survivor of her immediate family.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street in Moncton. Visiting hours will be on Monday, May 30th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday morning from 10 until departure. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix, 87 Murphy Avenue, Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 11 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
