Suddenly as a result of a car accident at Hampton, P.E.I., on Friday, August 28, 2009, of Mrs. Andrea S. Hughes (nee Burge) of Porters Lake, N.S., age 42 years. Beloved wife of Jeff Hughes and loving daughter of Florence (nee Clarkin) and Gerard Burge of Stanhope; daughter-in-law of Libby (nee Phillips) and Dennis Hughes of Brackley Beach. Andrea is also survived by her sisters Marie (Hal) Schurman of Summerside and Shelley Elliott (Linus Fitzsimmons) of Halifax, N.S.; brothers-in-law Michael (Heather) Hughes and Barry Elliott; niece and nephews Brea Schurman, Taryn and Riley Elliott, Calvin and Tyler Hughes, and her five German Shepherds. She was predeceased by her brother Jim Burge. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until Wednesday morning then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment later in the family plot in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
