LeBLANC, Maude Lydia, 85, Villa St. Joseph du Lac, passed away surrounded by her loving family on December 17, 2018 at The Villa. Born May 5, 1933 she was a daughter to the late Rexford and Esther (Crosby) Spates. Maude worked at the Cotton Mill, Brunswick Bowling Lanes, Dairy Queen and The Red Knight. Cooking was her passion and she loved doing so. She liked to make crafts, play Bingo and watch Wrestling on TV. She enjoyed playing the guitar and singing in her spare time. Maude is survived by daughters, Mary (Marven) Lloy, Yarmouth; Gail (Paul) Crowell, Darlings Lake; Debbie (Steve) Murphy, Hantsport; Shelley (Steve Jacquard) LeBlanc, Comeau's Hill; son David (Jennifer) LeBlanc, Arcadia; grandchildren, Nadine, Denise, Chris, Mariya, Gage, Dean and Dillon; several great grandchildren; brothers, Victor (Jan) Spates, Yarmouth; Winston (Dorothy) Spates, Mood Mill Rd.; sister, Betty Deveau, Yarmouth. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Maynard LeBlanc; son, Sam LeBlanc; grandson, Stacey Potter; brothers, Stanley, Donald and Willard Spates; infant brother Vernon. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s’ Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. The funeral was held Friday at 2pm from the Yarmouth Wesleyan Church, Rev. David Hockley officiated. Interment took place in the Arcadia Cemetery. Memorial Donations in Maude's memory may be made to the IWK, Children’s Wish Foundation, WAR Amps or Friends of TNR (trap-neuter-release Yarmouth).
