LANDERS, Edgar Percy - age 90 of Sandford, Yarmouth Co., N.S. passed away peacefully on December 25, 2018 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born May 17, 1928 in Yarmouth he was a son to the late Percy and Estella (Bain) Landers. Edgar was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a fisherman all his life and loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. His passion was being on the ocean, fishing and lobstering in the Estaflo. He spent many happy hours in his camp and teaching his grandchildren about nature. He was also a member of Sandford Wesleyan Church and in later years attended the Sandford Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie Jean (Thurston) Landers; daughters, Mary Jean (Mario Lisi ); Clara Mae (Allan MacInnis); Emma Lynette (Mike Smith); Ida Louise (Glen Berry); brother, Cedric Landers (Marina Trites); grandchildren, Regina, Sarah, Brendon, Ryland, Tyson, Emara, Lelan, Isaac and Ava, as well as great granddaughter, Meeya. Besides his parents, Edgar was predeceased by his sisters, Muriel and Anna and a brother, Gerald. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Friday December 28, 2018 from 7-9 P.M. at Sweeny’s Funeral Home. A funeral service took place on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10 A.M. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Scott MacDonald officiated. Interment followed in Sandford Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
