Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Thursday, May 26th, 2011 Francis Joseph Rose, age 79. Predeceased by his parents Annie and Walter Rose, brothers George, Perry, Gerald, sister Sadie Best (nee-Rose), step-daughter Brenda Rowe. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his spouse Norma Thistle, daughters Dora (Mark) Brennan of Victoria, B.C.; Rosylan (Ken) Zinck of Halifax, NS; Lucheia (George) Jamieson of Geilenkirchen, Germany; Tammy (Stephan) Lussier of Montreal, QC; brother Eric (Lena) of Arnold’s Cove, sister Marie Downey of Clarenville, grandchildren Jessica, Sean, Racheal, David, Jaxson, step-daughters Pauline (David) Edgar, Barbara Thistle (Gary)Hsu, Melinda (Kevin) Crowell, step-son Glen Thistle (Sharon) and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rested at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral service, Monday, May 30th at from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Gander. Internment followed at All Saints Cemetery.
