BELL, CLARENCE K. - 1923-2011 - Miramichi - Clarence Kenneth Bell, husband of the late Ida (Williston) Bell, of Bushville Drive, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Sunday, May 28, 2011, at the age of 87. Born in Morrison Cove, on July 21, 1923, he was the son of the late Franklin and Eileen (Williston) Bell. He was a retired employee of Imperial Oil Ltd., at the former Miramichi Bulk Plant; a former employee of S.M.T. Eastern Ltd. He was a member of St. Pauls Anglican Church; a Veteran of the Second World War, serving overseas with the Canadian Army, 63rd General Transport Unit, R.C.A.S.C.; a member of Branch # 3, Royal Canadian Legion, Miramichi; a member of the Newcastle Friendly Neighbors Senior Citizens Club; a member of the Seniors Bowling as well as Seniors Dart League. He is survived by three daughters, Peggy MacAdams (Bill), of Ottawa, Ont., Jo Ann Crozier, of Belleville, Ont., Nancy Nault (Bob), of Ottawa, Ont.; one son, Brian Bell (Lorelei), of Miramichi; three sisters, Jean Huck (Al), Saskatoon, SK., Winnifred Blackmore, of Miramichi, Rhona Ickringill (Pete), of Coquitlam, B.C.; two brothers, Frank Bell Betty), of Miramichi, Maurie Bell (Dawn), of Miramichi; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Melanie, Laura, Jamie, Hailey, Leslie-Ann; seven great grandchildren, Grace, Lily, Adam, Olivia, Jared, Kaitlyn, Braiden; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Ida, in 1974.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from St. Pauls Anglican Church, on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Gordon Thompson, assisted by Rev. Richard Steeves. Interment will be in St. Pauls Cemetery, Miramichi. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Pauls Cemetery Fund, Miramichi Chapter of the Alzheimer Society, Cdn. Cancer Society, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
