CORMIER, ANDRÉ - 1923 - 2011 - André Cormier, 87, of Saint-Louis de Kent, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 28th, 2011 at the Moncton City Hospital. He was married to Rita (Babin) Cormier. Born in Claire Fontaine on November 30th, 1923, he was the son of the late Jack and the late Emilienne (Doucet) Cormier. He will be sadly missed by his wife Rita, his two children, Audrey Doucet (Rheal) of Saint-Louis and James (Myrna) of Regina, Saskatchewan, three grandchildren, Donny, Brandy and Maurice, and two great grandchildren, Shayanne and Evianna. He also leaves to mourn one sister Annie Guimond of Saint-Louis and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and several nephews and nieces. André was predeceased by four brothers; Johnny, Marcel, Germain and Mélème, and six sisters; Jane, Minnie, Alfreda, Marie, Ida and Adeline.
Visitations will be held at Thompson’s Memorial Home, Saint-Louis on Wednesday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Louis on Wednesday, June 1st, 2011 at 4:00 pm with internment in the parish cemetery. In André’s memory donations can be made to the Moncton City Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
