It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darren Benjamin Canning age 41 of Amherst on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.
Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Varley and Hilda (Higgins) Canning.
Darren is survived by one son Michael of Parrsboro, one sister Barbara (Malcolm) Wilson of Amherst, two brothers Dale of Truro and Billy of Calgary, Alberta his best friends Robert and Diane Jones of Amherst and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. in Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 2 p.m. from Campbell's Chapel with Rev. Byron Corkum officiating.
Interment will take place in the Amherst Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Darren's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
