It is with heartfelt sadness and joy filled memories that we recall the peaceful passing of Janet Marie Strickland which occurred in Ottawa on March 5, 2011 after a long fight with cancer.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the proud daughter of Albert and the late Ethel (Steele) Husereau.
She is survived by her two sons, Bruce and Brent Strickland; four grandchildren; brother, Bernie Steele, all presently residing in Ottawa.
Visitation and celebration of life will take place Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. in Curry’s Funeral Chapel, 775 Main St., Glace Bay; followed by interment alongside her mother in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
